Description

The Red Castle Cocoonababy is an ergonomic newborn nest, designed and made in France. It holds baby in a slightly inclined, gently regrouped semi-foetal position, with a raised head end and an adjustable tummy band that keeps baby in place. This one comes with the Leaf fitted sheet.

Note on the colourway: “Leaf” is a tonal white-on-white jacquard — a subtly textured leaf pattern worked in white on white, not a coloured print. The nest reads as white.

Fit and use

From birth (from 2.8 kg) to a maximum of 3 months, and only until baby starts trying to turn over or adopt a different position.
Nest measures 69 × 40 × 19 cm and weighs 1 kg.
Use in a cot, with the cot base at its lowest position, a depth greater than 50 cm including the mattress, on a flat surface.

Safety — from Red Castle's own instructions

Always place baby on their back — never on the tummy or the side.
The tummy band is an integral part of the product and must be used at all times. Do not use the Cocoonababy if it is not complete.
Do not use in a Moses basket, a rocking cradle, or a stroller carrycot.
Whenever baby is awake, take them out of the Cocoonababy.
For supervised naps and rest periods, not unattended overnight sleep. Always follow the instructions supplied with the product.

Materials and care

Foam: 100% PU. Protective cover: 100% Tencel®, with a 100% PU membrane.
Fitted sheet: 100% cotton, wadding 100% polyester. Tummy band: 100% cotton with 100% polyester wadding.
Machine washable — full protective cover at 60°C; tummy band and fitted sheet at 30°C.
