Description

A modern cheongsam with exaggerated flared sleeves, a fitted waist and a Mandarin collar, from Maison Q's Chinese New Year 2026 collection. Snap closure buttons run all the way down the back for ease of wear.

Because it is reversible it can be worn inside out — one side is Little Cavalry, the other is Summer Palace. Double the fun, twice the mileage.

The prints

Little Cavalry — a playful tribute to the Year of the Horse, with four charming ponies brought together in a whimsical cavalry against a vibrant orange ground. Each horse carries a symbol of celebration: one holds a red lantern glowing with warmth and good fortune, another is paired with calla lilies, the lucky flower for the year, a third trots happily with sparklers in tow, and the fourth holds a red packet, a timeless emblem of prosperity.

Summer Palace — inspired by the famed imperial gardens of Beijing, known as the Garden of Harmonious Unity. Sakura blossoms scatter across the scene, lotus flowers bloom serenely on the water for purity, and a pair of mandarin ducks glide gracefully, embodying love and harmony. Willows sway by the shore, bridges arch elegantly over calm water, and boats drift toward mountains rising quietly in the background.

Care

Gentle machine wash on cold, with like colours, in a laundry bag.
Do not soak. No clothes dryer.
Iron on medium heat. On a reversible piece, iron away from the hemline and towards the centre so the two layers of fabric do not gather at the hem.
Do not iron over brand labels or snap closure buttons.
Go easy on the detergent — too much can affect the durability and colour of cotton over time.
