Description

Two 150 ml PPSU bottles, each with a slow flow teat fitted. This is the size to start with: 150 ml suits a newborn's feeds, and it is the size most mothers reach for while they are still latching and pumping and working out how much milk there actually is.

Top Features

Slow flow teat, 0–3 months — paced to match the flow a newborn gets at the breast. Medium and fast teats are sold separately for later.
Elliptical teat shape — wide and soft, to encourage the same wide latch as the breast and make switching between the two easier
Press-to-Close, Twist-to-Open — the lid presses shut one-handed and twists off, with no spills
Square-round body — easy for small hands to hold, and it does not roll off the table

Why PPSU

Hegen bottles are moulded in PPSU (polyphenylsulfone), an FDA-compliant, food-contact grade material also used in medical equipment. It handles −20°C to 180°C, so it is safe in sterilisers, warmers, dishwashers, microwaves, boiling water and the freezer. PPSU is naturally amber-coloured — that tint is the material itself, not a dye. BPA free.

Colours

Available in Pink, Purple and Blue — the colour is on the collar and lid; the bottle itself is amber PPSU.

Age

From birth, with the slow flow teat supplied. Always supervise feeding, and never prop a bottle or leave a baby unattended with one.
