Description

A powered feeding chair for the stretch of parenthood where you sit down every two to four hours, usually with your hands full. The Firenza reclines, lifts your legs and brings you back upright at the press of a button, so getting in and out with a sleeping baby does not depend on a lever, a free hand or your stomach muscles. Between button presses it glides and swivels like a conventional nursing glider.

The lumbar support and the head and neck rest are both adjustable, which is what lets one chair fit a petite parent and a tall one. The upholstery is a textured polyester performance weave that resists stains and scratches, shown here in Ivory, a warm off-white. USB and USB-C ports sit within reach, and an electronic child lock disables the controls when the chair is unattended.

Suitable For

Parents and carers from pregnancy onwards: breastfeeding and bottle-feeding, settling, and rest and recovery after birth, including after a caesarean. This is adult furniture, not a seat for a baby or child on their own.

Care

Treat with a non-toxic fabric protection spray before first use
Vacuum regularly with a soft upholstery head
Blot spills straight away and spot clean with a soft white cloth and a gentle upholstery cleaner; no harsh chemicals
Do not unzip the cushions
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat to limit fading
A hand steamer revives the cushion padding
Every six months, check and tighten the bolts and screws, and lubricate moving parts with a silicone-based lubricant only

Safety

Switch on the electronic child lock whenever the chair is unattended, and keep children and pets clear of the footrest and mechanism while it is moving. Do not sit on the armrests or the footrest. The 135kg limit covers you, your baby and anything else on the chair. If your baby falls asleep on you, move them to their cot or bassinet. A recliner is not a safe sleep surface.
